Role Description

This is a 2 year training role. The Business Development Associate is the first step to becoming an Independent Financial Adviser. It is a full-time position based in London with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some work from home. This role involves identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, conducting market research, and supporting lead generation campaigns. The associate will prepare and deliver presentations to prospective clients, collaborate with advisors to refine value propositions, and help maintain a strong sales pipeline.   • Engaging with prospects via calls, emails, LinkedIn, and Networking
  • Tracking activities in CRM tools
  • Contributing to business development strategies
  • Coordinating with marketing to align outreach efforts
  • Providing regular reporting on performance metrics and market insights

The role will also involve supporting the Financial advisers, shadowing meetings, taking notes, and preparing client advice, in support of your training to become a Financial adviser.

As well as your day to day responsibilities, you will be required to pass all exams within a 2 year period, as such this role will require a lot of dedication and hard work.

Qualifications

  • Strong Presentation Skills and experience creating and delivering effective Presentations.
  • Skills in Lead Generation and Market Research to identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, for client-facing interactions and internal collaboration.
  • Relevant experience in financial services, wealth management, or professional services business development is highly beneficial but not necessary as training will be provided.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, manage time effectively, and use CRM and productivity tools with confidence.
  • Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a client-centric approach to relationship building.
