Business Development Associate
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Business Development Associate to join our team at William Russell.
The Role
As a Business Development Associate, you’ll help grow our health and life insurance business through our intermediary broker network.
You’ll act as an important bridge between our smaller and developing brokers and our larger strategic broker relationships, helping them to understand our proposition, identify opportunities and increase engagement. You’ll also handle new broker enquiries, support onboarding and work with our Business Development Managers to deliver consistently high service.
This progressive role is an ideal opportunity for someone in the early stages of a sales or business development career who wants to develop their commercial skills and insurance knowledge, and who enjoys building relationships, is naturally curious, resilient in the face of setbacks, and is motivated by helping customers succeed.

About You
- You’re a confident communicator who enjoys building relationships by phone, email and virtual meetings.
- Naturally curious and proactive, you take the time to understand how brokers work and where opportunities may exist.
- You’re resilient, bring a positive, solutions-focused mindset, thrive on achieving targets, and take pride in delivering exceptional service and results.
Your Experience
- You have experience in sales support, business development, or account management preferably in health insurance, life insurance, employee benefits or financial services.
- You can demonstrate strong organisational skills, confidence in speaking with customers and stakeholders, and the ability to manage several priorities while completing agreed actions.
