Business Development & Bid Writing Coordinator

Our client is a dynamic and innovative architectural practice delivering exceptional design solutions across the UK. As they continue with successful growth, they are seeking a highly motivated, proactive, and capable Business Development & Bid Writing Coordinator to play a pivotal role in supporting the Directors and professional team in achieving their strategic ambitions.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Directors, the successful candidate will take a central role in supporting business development, bid writing and marketing activity, helping to drive the practice's growth and market presence. They will be instrumental in helping secure new business opportunities through compelling bid submissions and targeted marketing activities, working closely with the Directors and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Directors and Senior Management with implementing the company's strategic growth plan
  • Identify and monitor new business opportunities, frameworks, and tender opportunities
  • Lead and coordinate the preparation of high-quality PQQs, tenders, bids, and framework submissions
  • Gather information from technical teams and Directors to create compelling submissions
  • Maintain bid libraries, case studies, company profiles, and supporting materials
  • Track submission deadlines and ensure all requirements are met accurately and on time
  • Coordinate and deliver the practice's marketing and communication activities, including website content, social media, and promotional campaigns
  • Develop project case studies, award submissions, brochures, and client presentations

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in business development, bid writing, or marketing
  • Experience preparing bids, tenders, proposals, or business development documentation
  • Excellent written communication and report-writing abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and In-Design
  • Commercially aware, proactive, and solutions-focused

  • Experience within architecture, construction, engineering, property, or professional services sectors
  • Knowledge of public sector procurement processes and framework submissions
