Role: Business Development Consultant
Salary: £30,000
Location: Southampton (hybrid) 3 days in office

AVASK Global Compliance Ltd is a fast-growing international firm specialising in VAT, tax and accounting services for e-commerce businesses. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Business Development Consultant to help generate new business opportunities, build client relationships, and support businesses with their international expansion.

Business Development Consultant, the role:

  • Proactively engage with inbound and outbound leads to generate new business opportunities.
  • Conduct consultative conversations with prospective clients to understand their business needs and identify suitable services.
  • Manage opportunities throughout the full sales cycle, from initial enquiry through to contract completion.
  • Build, maintain and develop a strong sales pipeline aligned to individual revenue targets.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell AVASK services to maximise client value.
  • Accurately record and manage all opportunities and client interactions within the CRM system.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth client onboarding experience.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional and consultative approach.
  • Keep up to date with industry developments and AVASK service offerings to provide informed recommendations.

Business Development Consultant, the person:

  • Previous experience in a sales, business development, customer service or client-facing role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to engage with prospective clients.
  • Commercially aware with an understanding of sales principles and pipeline management.
  • Self-motivated and target-driven with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems and maintaining accurate records.
  • A proactive attitude with a desire to learn, develop and grow within a successful business.
