Role Description
The Business Development Consultant is a remote, contract role focused on expanding The Cheshire Club’s network of member businesses, partners, and sponsors. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, conducting outreach campaigns, and nurturing relationships with prospective clients and collaborators. The consultant will develop tailored proposals, support business planning initiatives, and provide strategic input on how events, media platforms, and networking activities can drive growth for clients and the ecosystem. The role also involves regular reporting on pipeline activity, coordinating with internal teams to align offerings with client needs, and representing The Cheshire Club in online meetings and occasional virtual events.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated skills in New Business Development and Lead Generation, including prospecting, pipeline management, and conversion.
- Experience in Consulting and Business Planning, with the ability to analyze client needs and recommend practical growth strategies.
- Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present ideas clearly and build long-term relationships.
- Background in business development, sales, or partnerships within professional services, media, or events is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage priorities, and meet agreed targets and deadlines.
- Comfort using CRM tools, online communication platforms, and basic productivity software.
- Relevant education or training in business, marketing, or a related field is an advantage, though equivalent experience is also valued.
- Knowledge of Cheshire East and surrounding areas.
