Business Development Consultant - Short-Term Contract

A specialist business operating within the medico-legal sector is seeking an experienced Business Development Consultant on a short-term contract basis to help identify, engage and develop relationships with prospective clients across the medico-legal market. This is a fully remote role suited to an individual who already possesses a strong network and deep understanding of the medico-legal landscape.

Location: Fully Remote (UK)
Contract Type: Fixed-Term / Short-Term Contract
Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience - can be a pro-rated salary or day rate

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage prospective clients within the medico-legal and healthcare expert witness sectors.
  • Develop relationships with medical experts, medico-legal professionals, solicitors and law firms.
  • Generate and qualify new business opportunities.
  • Present and promote specialist support services to potential clients.
  • Manage the sales pipeline and maintain accurate records of business development activities.
  • Provide market insight and intelligence to support growth initiatives.
  • Attend online meetings and networking events where appropriate.

About You

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A strong background within the medico-legal sector.
  • Previous experience as a medico-legal lawyer, solicitor, legal executive, medico-legal consultant, or senior professional working within medico-legal services.
  • An established understanding of clinical negligence, personal injury and expert witness processes.
  • Demonstrable business development, client relationship management or commercial experience.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • The ability to work independently and deliver results in a remote environment.
