Role Description

As a successful OTM Business Development Consultant (BDC), you will:

  • Have a high level of integrity
  • Manage, nurture, and grow your existing client base
  • Be part of a dynamic, motivated team that takes an entrepreneurial approach to sell, train, and retain your clients on the entire suite of OTM products
  • Work as part of a collaborative sales team on an exciting journey to become the UK's number 1 residential property portal

Responsibilities

  • Development of business growth through:

    • Sourcing, generating, and building new business for OTM
    • Understanding the OTM suite of products and how they best support our customers’ needs
  • Lead generation:

    • Identifying new sales leads and contacting potential new clients
  • Client engagement:

    • Meeting new and existing clients in person
  • Negotiation and account management:

    • Negotiating business terms with new and existing clients
    • Working with senior team members to manage risks and communicate results
  • Use communication and product knowledge to effectively pitch to new and prospective clients

  • Represent OTM by:

    • Hosting and attending industry events
    • Networking with property professionals in your market

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of sales success:

    • Our most successful candidates generally have experience selling online marketplaces, portals, and similar B2B environments
    • We will also consider other sales backgrounds.
  • Client retention experience:

    • Maintain and grow your client portfolio over the medium and long-term by delivering excellent service

    • Outstanding communication, presentation, and objection handling
    • Confidence and patience to make complex proposals
    • Consultative selling style with account management techniques to grow accounts over time

    • Understand decision-makers in large organisations
    • Identify influencers and blockers
    • Align stakeholders effectively
  • Minimum degree-level education or equivalent experience.
