ROLE DESCRIPTION
As a successful OTM Business Development Consultant (BDC), you will:
- Manage, nurture, and grow your existing client base.
- Be part of a dynamic, entrepreneurial sales team focused on selling, training, and retaining clients across the OTM product suite.
- Work towards becoming the UK's leading residential property portal.

Key responsibilities include developing business growth, sourcing leads, and ensuring strong client relationships.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and expand business growth by sourcing, generating, and building new business for OnTheMarket.
- Understand how the OTM product suite can best support customer needs.
- Identify new sales leads and initiate contact with potential clients.
- Meet clients in person (both new and existing).
- Negotiate business terms with clients.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to manage risks and communicate results.
- Use strong communication and product knowledge to pitch to clients effectively.
- Represent OnTheMarket by attending industry events and networking with property professionals.
- Align stakeholders (decision-makers, influencers, and potential blockers) for smooth business growth.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven sales success, ideally in selling online marketplaces, portals, or similar B2B environments (other relevant sales experience considered).
- Ability to maintain and grow client relationships over the medium to long term.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and objection-handling skills, with patience and confidence in explaining complex proposals.
- Excellent organisational abilities, with a data-driven approach to achieving targets.
- Degree-level education or equivalent work experience.
- Consultative selling style with a focus on account management and long-term relationship growth.
- Strong stakeholder navigation skills—ability to identify and manage key decision-makers, influencers, and roadblocks.
- Valid driver’s license (Driving Record/Driving Abstract check required before start).
