You'll work on a mix of high-value inbound leads and strategic outbound prospecting, operating in a team that moves fast, shares everything, and is genuinely motivated by putting more EVs on the road.
This role will include an uncapped commission structure, generous car allowance and unlimited time off as part of the overall package and will be based in our central London office 2-3 days a week.
What you'll do...

- Run high-impact pitches and product demonstrations for SME stakeholders, HR Directors, CFOs, and C-Suite executives, tailored to their specific business context.
- Keep your pipeline clean and up to date in our CRM, with a clear-eyed view of where every deal stands and what it needs to move forward.
- Work closely with our Customer Success team to ensure smooth handovers and strong client activation post-sale.
- Feed insights from the frontline back to Product and Marketing, your perspective on what's working (and what isn't) will directly shape how we evolve our proposition.
- Represent Octopus EV at industry events, exhibitions and with our partners, spreading the word on EVs and Salary Sacrifice to prospective clients.
- With an uncapped OTE and plenty of opportunities, you’ll have the opportunity to directly influence what you earn.
What you'll need...
- 3+ years in a B2B new business sales role, with a proven track record of consistently hitting or exceeding targets.
- Experience selling to senior SME stakeholders, Directors, CFOs, HR, Finance, or Reward Manager, rapidly building
- The ability to explain complex financial or tax-based products (such as Salary Sacrifice) in a clear, compelling way to a non-specialist audience.
- Familiarity with structured sales methodologies — MEDDICC, Challenger, SPIN, BANT or similar.
- A consultative approach: you’ll listen first, diagnose second, and pitch third.
- Comfortable operating independently in a fast-moving environment—you proactively manage and progress your pipeline with minimal oversight.
- A genuine interest in electric vehicles, sustainability, or the energy transition. You don't need to be an expert, but you do need to care.
- Passion for your customers and a dedication to continually improving the Customer Experience

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
