Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Consultant to join our dynamic and innovative Business Development, Marketing, Events, and Communications team in Brisbane, Melbourne, Newcastle, or Sydney.
About the team and the role
This role is responsible for providing proactive business development support and marketing advice to the firm’s market-leading and strategically important Workplace practice group. Our Workplace Practice Group is highly regarded and respected for being the safe pair of hands organisations need to resolve workplace issues as quickly and seamlessly as possible.

- Supporting the Workplace practice group in delivering timely, high-quality business development initiatives aligned to the group's strategic objectives.
- Assisting with client relationship management activities for key clients.
- Coordinating and project managing practice group bids, tenders, and quotes, including leading kick-off meetings, drafting content, tender debriefs, and ensuring compliance with bid processes.
- Capturing and maintaining all relevant information used in bids, capability statements, CVs, website, and legal directory submissions.
- Working with the Senior Business Development Manager to deliver effective marketing collateral, publications, and events and sponsorships.
- Collaborating closely with the wider Business Development, Marketing, Events, and Communications team and providing support on broader projects and initiatives as required.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Prior business development experience in a law firm or professional services is essential. You might be a Coordinator looking for the next step or an Advisor wanting to join a market-leading team.
- A genuine interest in Workplace law (employment and work health and safety) and keeping up to date with industry trends. Direct experience in this area of law is desirable but not essential.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including experience delivering strong written tender and capability documentation.
- A tertiary qualification in marketing, business, communications, or related discipline is highly regarded.
