Business Development Contractor (12-Week Project)
Chemical, Pharma & Advanced Materials
We’re a fast-moving deep-tech startup with major recent progress on our product. We’re now looking for a Business Development Contractor to help accelerate commercial engagement across the chemical, pharmaceutical, and advanced materials sectors.
This is a 12-week contract, working directly with the CEO, focused on generating high-quality leads and securing early customer conversations.
Role Overview
- Identify and research high-value prospects (LinkedIn + industry networks)
- Craft and send outreach messages, InMails, and short value-prop materials
- Explain novel technical and commercial propositions confidently
- Qualify interest and secure intro calls/meetings for the CEO
- Support early-stage proposal development for pilot opportunities

What You Bring
- Minimum first-degree qualification (science, engineering, business, or related)
- Confidence approaching new leads and engaging senior stakeholders
- Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly
- Strong LinkedIn literacy and outbound prospecting experience
- Independent, proactive working style with strong professionalism

Engagement Details
- Initial term: 12 weeks
- Start: Immediate
- Location: Remote (UK/EU preferred)
- Compensation: Competitive contractor rate
