As we continue to grow, we are seeking a proactive and highly organised Business Development Coordinator to support our sales and marketing efforts, helping generate new opportunities, maintain a healthy sales pipeline and ensure our business development activity is consistently executed.
Role Purpose
The Business Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting the commercial growth of the business through lead generation, CRM administration, database management and sales pipeline support.
This role plays a vital part in ensuring there is a consistent flow of qualified opportunities entering the pipeline by undertaking the research, outreach, follow-up and administrative activity that underpins effective business development.
Working closely with the wider team, you will help maintain momentum throughout the sales process, ensuring opportunities are identified, nurtured, accurately recorded and progressed. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys research, relationship building, process management and contributing directly to business growth within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development Support
- Research and identify prospective clients across agreed target sectors.
- Build and maintain prospect lists.
- Support lead generation campaigns and business development initiatives.
- Identify opportunities within existing databases and networks.
- Assist with venue, partner and supplier relationship development activity.
- Support networking events, showcases and client engagement initiatives.

CRM & Pipeline Management
- Manage and maintain CRM records and data quality.
- Ensure all interactions, opportunities and contacts are accurately recorded.
- Maintain pipeline information and progress updates.
- Monitor opportunity movement through the sales process.
- Produce pipeline, activity and performance reports.
- Support forecasting and sales reporting requirements.
Outreach & Follow-Up
- Coordinate email, LinkedIn and follow-up activity.
- Re-engage dormant contacts and previous clients.
- Support lead nurturing campaigns.
- Generate introductions and arrange meetings.
- Ensure opportunities remain active and are followed up in a timely manner.
Marketing & Campaign Support
- Assist with the delivery of sales and marketing campaigns.
- Help manage mailing lists and contact databases.
- Coordinate campaign follow-up activity.
- Support the conversion of marketing activity into qualified sales opportunities.
- Assist in gathering information for case studies, testimonials and client success stories.
Administration & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Support meeting preparation and coordination.
- Assist with reporting for the leadership team.
- Monitor and track business development activity against agreed objectives.

Skills & Experience
Essential
- Experience in a business development, sales support, administration or marketing support role.
- Experience maintaining CRM systems and databases.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Desirable
- Experience supporting lead generation or sales activity.
- LinkedIn outreach or LinkedIn Sales Navigator experience.
- Marketing coordination experience.
- Events or agency sector experience particularly within a team building or experience company would be advantageous.
- Experience working within a small business or growing SME.
