Hawk3 Talent Solutions are working on behalf of our client, an established UK manufacturer, to recruit a New Markets Business Development Coordinator to support the development of an exciting new commercial growth channel.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established manufacturing business at an important stage of growth, with the opportunity to play a key role in identifying and developing new markets.

The primary focus of the role will be responsible for researching the market, identifying target customers, engaging decision-makers and testing the commercial potential of the opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and map the Roofing market, identifying priority sectors, customer types, geographic opportunities, competitors and routes to market.
  • Build a structured database of target organisations and key decision-makers.
  • Engage with potential customers and influencers to understand current suppliers, product preferences, buying criteria, pricing expectations, lead times and switching barriers.
  • Identify and qualify genuine commercial opportunities based on need, volume, product fit, decision process, timing and commercial viability.
  • Generate qualified meetings, product discussions, samples, trials and quotations.
  • Develop meaningful competitor intelligence, including products, pricing, service proposition, delivery expectations and customer perceptions.
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Technical, Purchasing and Operations to identify product, technical, certification, supply or service gaps.
  • Develop an understanding of achievable selling prices and margins across different customer types and routes to market.
  • Maintain an accurate, evidence-based CRM pipeline, clearly distinguishing research contacts from genuine qualified opportunities.
  • Provide regular market feedback to management, highlighting what is converting, what isn't and what may need to change.
  • Where the proposition is validated, help transition the opportunity from market research into repeatable prospecting and opportunity generation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
