Business Development Support / BD Operations Coordinator
London | Commercial Interiors / Workplace
We’re working with a leading business within the commercial interiors and workplace sector that is looking to appoint a Business Development Support professional to sit at the heart of its commercial team.
This isn’t a traditional admin role.
You’ll work closely with senior Business Development leaders and act as the central point of coordination across Sales, Partnerships, Marketing and Events, helping ensure that key client targets, meetings, actions and commercial priorities keep moving.
It would suit someone who is highly organised, commercially aware and confident enough to chase senior stakeholders, challenge missed actions and bring structure to a fast-moving environment.
The role will include:
- Coordinating activity around priority clients and business development targets
- Tracking actions, owners and deadlines and ensuring agreed activity gets completed
- Preparing agendas, actions and follow-ups for regular BD meetings
- Working across Sales, Marketing, Partnerships and Events to keep everyone aligned
- Producing clear weekly updates on progress, outstanding actions and key blockers
- Coordinating meetings, client follow-ups and events linked to priority accounts
- Supporting senior BD leaders with diaries and commercially important meetings
- Improving processes, templates and ways of working across the wider BD function
- Creating greater accountability and visibility around business development activity

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
A major part of the role is making sure that good commercial ideas actually turn into action, rather than disappearing into meeting notes or getting lost between different teams. The successful person will be expected to establish a consistent operating rhythm and improve accountability across the function.
