Job Description
Location: Nationwide Travel, Hybrid Working (Offices in London, Maidenhead, Cheltenham)
Rendesco is the UK's leading heat pump and heat network business. We design, build, fund, own and operate low-carbon heating systems that help homes and communities move away from gas.
We're growing quickly, and technology is central to how we operate. We're now looking for a recent graduate to join our team and help us make the most of our technology while keeping our systems, data and people secure.
The Role
We’re looking for an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Director to help grow our business by identifying new opportunities, developing senior client relationships and driving revenue growth.
You’ll play a key role in developing our sales strategy, managing a strong pipeline and securing high-value opportunities across our target markets.
We're looking for someone who:
- Is a results-driven business development professional with experience in a complex B2B sales environment.
You’ll have:
- Proven experience in business development, sales or a commercial role.
- Strong knowledge and relationships within the Tier 1/main contractor sector.
- Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes.
- Strong negotiation, presentation and communication skills.
- Experience winning new business and managing high-value opportunities.
- Experience with tendering and proposal development.
- Experience using CRM systems, ideally Salesforce.
- Knowledge of heat networks and/or heat pumps is desirable.
- A collaborative, strategic and commercially focused approach.

Job Responsibilities
Your work will include:
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities.
- Building and managing a strong sales pipeline.
- Developing proposals, responding to tenders and presenting to clients.
- Managing complex sales processes from lead generation through to close.
- Building strong relationships with new and existing clients.
- Negotiating commercial terms and high-value contracts.
- Working closely with sales, marketing, projects and finance teams.
- Providing market insight to support our growth, product and pricing strategies.
- Tracking sales performance, forecasts and KPIs.
