About the Role
The Business Development Director is responsible for driving enterprise new business acquisition for Ignition CX across the UK market. This role owns full-cycle sales execution — from prospecting through contract negotiation — and is accountable for achieving defined revenue targets.
Responsibilities

Enterprise New Logo Acquisition
- Identify, pursue, and close enterprise CX and BPO opportunities across targeted UK verticals.
- Lead discovery, solution design, pricing strategy, and commercial negotiations.
- Manage complex RFP processes through to signed contracts.
- Convert qualified pipeline into committed revenue.

Pipeline Ownership
- Maintain an active pipeline aligned to quota expectations (minimum 3–5x coverage ratio).
- Ensure disciplined opportunity progression and accurate revenue forecasting.
- Update CRM consistently and report pipeline health weekly.

Vertical Development
- Develop deep expertise within two or more assigned UK industry verticals.
- Tailor Ignition CX value propositions to UK market specific buyer needs.
- Support strategic expansion into new sectors alongside the Chief Client Officer.

Executive Engagement
- Build and maintain C-suite and VP-level relationships with target accounts.
- Represent Ignition CX in high-level negotiations and partnership discussions.
- Support broker, consultant, and referral channel partnerships.

Cross-Functional Coordination
- Partner with Industry Leads and Solutions teams for proposal credibility.
- Align with Finance on commercial structures and pricing.
- Coordinate structured handoff to Client Solutions post close.

AI-Enabled Solutions and Innovation
- Identify client challenges and use cases that may be addressed through AI, automation, analytics or digital CX solutions.
- Position Ignition CX’s AI-enabled capabilities as part of enterprise sales proposals and client transformation strategies.
- Translate AI capabilities into clear business benefits, including improved customer experience, reduced cost, increased productivity, enhanced quality and revenue growth.
- Support client discussions relating to generative AI, conversational AI, intelligent automation, agent-assist tools, analytics and workforce optimisation.
- Maintain awareness of AI developments and competitor offerings within the CX and BPO market.
- Ensure AI opportunities are positioned responsibly, with appropriate consideration for data privacy, security, governance and human oversight.
- Identify opportunities to pilot, scale or integrate AI solutions within new client contracts.
Key Performance Indicators
- New Logo Revenue: Total revenue closed from net-new enterprise clients in the period
- Revenue Quota Attainment: Percentage of defined revenue target achieved in the period
- Pipeline Coverage Ratio: Active pipeline value as a multiple of quota — minimum 3–5x required
- Win Rate: Percentage of qualified opportunities converted to signed contract
- Average Contract Value: Mean value of closed deals — indicator of market and deal quality
- Sales Cycle Duration: Average time from first qualified conversation to signed contract

Qualifications
- 7–12+ years of enterprise B2B sales experience
- CX, BPO, or outsourcing industry background strongly preferred
- Proven full-cycle sales track record — from RFP through contract close
- C-suite relationship management and executive-level communication
- Disciplined pipeline and CRM management (Zoho, Salesforce, or equivalent)
- Experience selling into UK enterprise accounts across Retail, Financial Services, Insurance, Utilities, Telecommunications, or Home Services
- Strong commercial acumen — comfortable with pricing, P&L implications, and contract structures
Required Skills
- Strong enterprise sales capability

- Experience in AI, automation, and analytics solutions
- Understanding of digital CX solutions
