Business Development Director
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Development Director based in the United Kingdom.
About the Role
As a Business Development Director, you will lead new business growth across the EMEA mobile advertising ecosystem for a global technology platform.
- Use your established industry network to identify high-value opportunities and build strategic relationships with brands, publishers, and app developers.
- The role combines commercial strategy, consultative selling, relationship development, and hands-on execution in a competitive, fast-growing market.
- Represent the business externally, strengthening market presence through industry events, conferences, and senior-level customer engagement.
- Work closely with internal teams, translating prospect needs into tailored technology and advertising solutions.
- Take ownership of the sales pipeline and revenue targets, using your market knowledge and commercial judgment to consistently deliver results.
This is an autonomous, remote-first leadership opportunity for an experienced mobile advertising professional who thrives in a high-growth technology environment.
Accountabilities
- Strengthen brand visibility.
- Collaborate with internal product, solutions, technical, and commercial teams to develop tailored DSP solutions for prospective clients.
- Stay informed about developments in mobile advertising, programmatic media, DSP technology, app monetization, and the broader digital advertising ecosystem.
- Provide market and customer insights to internal teams to help identify new opportunities, improve solutions, and strengthen the go-to-market strategy.
- Operate with a high degree of autonomy in a remote environment while maintaining strong communication and alignment with distributed teams.

Requirements
- Demonstrated success in business development, strategic sales, or a comparable senior commercial role within mobile advertising, mobile applications, ad technology, or a closely related sector.
- Deep and active network of contacts across mobile publishers, app developers, brands, agencies, and other relevant industry stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of programmatic advertising, demand-side platforms, mobile advertising models, and the broader digital advertising ecosystem.
- Proven track record of generating new business, developing strategic client relationships, negotiating commercial agreements, and consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong consultative selling and business development skills, with the ability to understand customer challenges and connect them to appropriate technology solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities, particularly with senior decision-makers.
- Strong commercial judgment and ability to identify, prioritize, and convert high-value opportunities in a competitive market.
- Ability to represent an organization confidently at industry conferences, events, and senior-level business meetings.
- Highly self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple prospects, relationships, negotiations, and priorities simultaneously.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the resilience, initiative, and adaptability required to succeed in a high-growth technology environment.
- Must be based in the EMEA region, with the ability to engage effectively across international markets and time zones.
