Head of Data Centre

Role Overview

A global engineering business operating within the critical power and energy infrastructure sector is looking to appoint a Head of Data Centre for the UK & Ireland. This is a senior opportunity to take ownership of an established and growing market, developing strategy, strengthening key relationships, and driving complex, high-value opportunities across the data centre sector.

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for the UK & Ireland Data Centre strategy.
  • Identify new opportunities and expand relationships across Hyperscale, Colocation, and Enterprise customers.
  • Work alongside commercial, technical, and operational teams.
  • Manage opportunities through the full sales process, from early-stage engagement and specification through to major tenders, frameworks, and project delivery.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline.
  • Develop account strategies and take ownership of high-value commercial opportunities.
  • Develop relationships with senior decision-makers across Data Centre operators, contractors, consultants, and other key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams to deliver appropriate solutions and compelling presentations.

Location

  • The role is based from a head office in the Rugby area.
  • Offers flexible hybrid working.
  • Includes regular travel throughout the UK & Ireland to meet customers, partners, and project stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Experience in data centre, critical infrastructure, or critical power sales.
  • Strong understanding of power infrastructure and associated solutions.
  • Established relationships across the UK & Ireland data centre market.
  • Proven success delivering complex, high-value projects or solutions.
  • Strong commercial, strategic, and negotiation skills.
  • Comfortable engaging with senior decision-makers and technical stakeholders.

The Package

  • £80,000 to £100,000 basic salary.
