Business Development Director (AI/Technology) - Manchester
AI & Technology Solutions | Manchester | £100k-£120k Year 1 OTE | Uncapped Commission
We are currently partnering with a rapidly growing technology consultancy who are expanding their sales team following significant investment in an AI-powered engineering delivery platform that is already delivering measurable results for enterprise clients.
This is a genuine new business role, ideal for ambitious sales professionals who enjoy building pipeline, engaging senior stakeholders, and closing complex, high-value technology deals.
The Opportunity
The business has spent the last two years developing and refining a next-generation AI-enabled delivery solution that is transforming how large organisations deliver technology projects. With substantial growth plans in place, they are looking to appoint several Business Development Directors to drive new customer acquisition and help scale the commercial function.
You will own the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through to proposal, negotiation, and close.
What's on Offer?
- Base Salary: c. £55,000-£60,000
- Year 1 OTE: Realistic Year 1 OTE of £100,000-£120,000
- Year 2 Earnings Potential: £160,000-£200,000+
- Commission Structure: Uncapped commission structure
- Commission paid on both new business and future account growth
- Top performers earning £250,000+
- Progression: Clear progression opportunities into senior sales leadership roles
- Investment and Growth: Significant investment and ambitious growth plans
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid working, with 3-4 days per week in the Manchester office

Key Responsibilities
- Generate and develop new business opportunities within enterprise organisations
- Build relationships with C-suite stakeholders including CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, and CFOs
- Manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from initial contact to contract signature
- Develop and execute outbound sales strategies through networking, prospecting, and targeted outreach
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline
- Accurately forecast and manage opportunities through the sales process

- Have a proven track record in new business sales

- Are comfortable operating at C-suite level

- Have experience with structured sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC or similar
- Can confidently articulate business transformation and technology value propositions
