About The Role

The Crowd is partnered with an exciting and dynamic London-based mid-sized design company that is looking to appoint an accomplished Business Development Director to drive business development, strengthen key client relationships, and identify new commercial opportunities across London.

You will join an already successful team and work closely with senior management to develop and execute the business development strategy. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded professional with a strong network across the commercial office and wider commercial sectors, alongside a proven ability to build relationships and convert them into new business opportunities.

Our client is looking for a self-starter who wants to build a long-term career with the business, with the drive and commercial instinct to help contribute to its continued growth. You will be reliable and accountable, with the ability to identify opportunities, take initiative, develop strong relationships, and bring people together to drive collaboration.

This is an opportunity to join a forward-thinking, ambitious, and social team working across an exciting and diverse range of projects. Our client places a strong emphasis on maintaining a positive studio culture, with a collaborative, energetic, and sociable environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a broad network of relationships across the commercial property market, including landlords, agents, and project professionals
  • Identify opportunities to increase client engagement
  • Drive revenue growth through the development of existing accounts, as well as establishing relationships with new landlord and property contacts
  • Take ownership of the client journey, ensuring relationships are managed and developed
  • Establish trusted relationships with key decision-makers
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the commercial property landscape, including changing landlord and occupier requirements
  • Work closely with delivery teams to support successful project delivery
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the organisation’s service offering and where it can support prospective clients
  • Monitor market trends and emerging client needs, identifying potential gaps
