I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You'll Own
- Proactively generating and closing new business across target sectors, with full ownership of the new-logo sales cycle
- Building a strong outbound pipeline through prospecting, networking, and relationship-building — this is a true hunting role, not an account management one
- Positioning the firm's full service range (digital innovation, cloud, workplace, and network services) to prospective clients
- Representing the firm credibly to senior stakeholders at mid-to-large UK organisations
What We're Looking For
- A genuine hunter mindset — proven success winning new business rather than growing existing accounts
- A track record of new-business sales in IT services, managed services, or digital transformation
- Comfort selling a broad, consultative service portfolio rather than a single product
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills, particularly with mid-market and enterprise UK organisations
- Self-starter energy suited to a smaller, boutique-style firm rather than a large, process-heavy sales org
