Role Description

The Business Development Director – Independent Role is a remote position responsible for driving growth and expanding the firm’s global client base and partnerships. Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Identifying and qualifying new business opportunities
  • Building and nurturing relationships with prospective clients
  • Leading strategic initiatives that increase revenue and market presence

This role involves overseeing the full business development cycle, from lead generation and proposal development through contract negotiation and account management. The director will collaborate closely with leadership to refine business plans, align offerings with market needs, and represent the brand in virtual meetings, events, and digital channels.

This is an independent, performance-driven role that offers significant autonomy in setting priorities and approaches while contributing to the firm’s mission of transformational personal and professional development.

Qualifications

  • Strong new business development and lead generation skills, with experience identifying, qualifying, and securing new clients or partnerships.
  • Proficiency in business planning and growth strategy, including market analysis, pipeline management, and goal setting.
  • Demonstrated ability in contract negotiation and closing deals, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and long-term relationships.
  • Account management experience, including onboarding, relationship building, and ongoing client satisfaction and retention.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales leadership, or related roles, ideally within professional services, coaching, consulting, or personal development sectors.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate in remote, digital-first environments.
  • Self-directed work style with strong organizational and time-management abilities, comfortable operating in an independent, flexible, and location-independent setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field is beneficial, though equivalent experience is also valued.
  • Comfort with digital tools, CRM systems, and online meeting platforms, and openness to continuous learning and personal development.
