Our client, a well-established financial services business with a strong reputation for supporting UK businesses with tailored funding and working capital solutions. As part of continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Business Development Director to develop new opportunities and expand their presence across the North West of England.
This is a high-profile business development role, focused on building relationships with business owners, existing banking clients, brokers, accountants and other professional introducers to identify and convert new Invoice Finance opportunities.
The role
- Generate new business opportunities with clients and prospects across the North West of England.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with business owners, intermediaries and professional introducers.
- Identify customer needs and position appropriate Invoice Finance and Asset Based Lending solutions.
- Build and manage a strong, consistent sales pipeline through direct approaches, referrals and existing relationships.
- Work closely with Credit, Relationship Management and Business Support to deliver excellent customer outcomes.
- Represent the business in the market and help build long-term customer relationships and advocacy.

What you’ll bring
- Proven experience within Invoice Finance, Asset Based Lending, commercial banking or related financial services.
- A strong track record in business development, sales or relationship management.
- Good understanding of business financials, including balance sheets, P&Ls and cash flow.
- Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.
- A self-starter with a strong commercial mindset and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- A genuine commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
