Business Development Director

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Director with a strong background in the electrical industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities with the Business Development Manager, building and maintaining strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth. The Business Development Director will play a crucial role in shaping the company’s market presence and expanding our footprint within the electrical services sector.

Key Responsibilities

Market Analysis and Strategy:

  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks in the electrical solutions industry.
  • Develop and implement effective business development strategies aligned with the company’s overall objectives.
  • Analyse competitor activities and market conditions to recommend adjustments to the business development strategy.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry influencers.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand client needs and expectations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Identify and pursue new client partnerships to expand the company’s client base.

New Business Development:

  • Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities, including mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships.
  • Lead negotiations and contract development for new business ventures.
  • Drive the development and implementation of new products or services to meet market demands.

Sales and Revenue Growth:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and business objectives.
  • Work closely with the sales team to provide support, guidance, and resources for successful deal closures.
  • Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with the product development, marketing, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of business development initiatives.
  • Provide input into the development of marketing materials and campaigns to promote electrical solutions effectively.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Business, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven track record in business development within the electrical industry.
  • Strong understanding of electrical solutions, products, and services.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Results-driven with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets.
