Business Development & Events Executive – Premium Food & Hospitality
Remote/field-based | £30,000–£35,000 + negotiable bonus
Regular travel to customers, events and the company’s London office
The Oval Partnership is exclusively representing an established London-based premium patisserie business with an impressive customer base across luxury retail and hospitality.
As the business enters its next stage of growth, we are looking for a confident and commercially minded Business Development & Events Executive to develop new partnerships across:
- Michelin-starred and fine-dining restaurants
- Luxury hotels
- Premium retailers
- Corporate events
- Airport lounges and travel hospitality
This is a remote, field-based position rather than a traditional office-based sales role. You will work from home when completing research, administration and follow-up activity, but a significant part of your week will involve driving to meet customers, attend events and represent the business.
You will also occasionally visit the company’s London office for meetings, product learning, training and time with the wider team.
The role
Working closely with the directors, you will:
- Identify and approach prospective customers across luxury food, hospitality and events
- Travel to meet executive chefs, pastry chefs, food and beverage teams, buyers and event organisers
- Arrange and deliver product tastings, presentations and customer meetings
- Attend and support events, tastings and brand activations
- Represent the business at trade shows and networking events
- Develop opportunities from the first conversation through to trial and launch
- Strengthen existing customer relationships and identify further growth opportunities
- Research new markets, venues and potential commercial partnerships
- Maintain an organised pipeline and provide regular updates on progress
- Share customer and market insight to help shape the wider growth strategy
- Attend the London office periodically for learning, planning and team meetings

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
