Business Development Executive
£35,000 - £40,000 + Pool car/fuel card + Commission | Swanley, Kent (office and field based)
My client is seeking an ambitious Business Development Executive to join their growing sales team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded sales professional who enjoys generating new business, managing customer relationships and taking ownership of the full sales cycle.
Combining office and field-based responsibilities, the successful candidate will manage their own geographical territory, build a strong sales pipeline and work closely with an established telesales function to maximise opportunities and drive revenue growth.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within an assigned geographical territory
- Generate leads through proactive outbound business development activity
- Attend customer meetings to understand requirements and present appropriate solutions
- Prepare quotations, negotiate terms and convert opportunities into sales
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both prospective and existing customers
- Manage and grow a healthy pipeline of sales opportunities
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and opportunities within the CRM system
- Collaborate with telesales and wider sales colleagues to maximise business opportunities
- Work towards agreed sales targets and performance objectives

Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in business development, field sales or B2B sales
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Commercially aware with the ability to identify and develop sales opportunities
- Self-motivated and proactive approach to winning new business
- Experience presenting solutions, preparing quotations and closing sales
- Organised with strong administrative and CRM skills
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the designated territory

- £35,000 - £40,000 basic salary + commission structure + company fuel card
