The Head Office of the Recycling Loop, in Telford you’ll join over 300 colleagues who are all working toward one shared goal: a world without waste.

Specialist teams with extensive experience in sectors such as House Building, Construction, Manufacturing, Retail and Hospitality build strong customer relationships, understand business challenges and create tailored, innovative waste management solutions.

Are you experienced in tailoring your approach to each customer's needs and converting leads into sales? Perhaps you're looking to take the next step in your sales career, or maybe you're a confident communicator who can see yourself thriving in a sales environment.

As a Business Development Executive within our Reconomy Trade team, you'll be responsible for developing existing customer relationships, re-engaging lapsed and down-trading customers, and proactively identifying new business opportunities. You'll receive full training, ongoing support and the tools you need to build your knowledge, develop your skills and succeed in the role.

What you'll be doing

  • Proactively identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell our products and services, converting these into bookings.
  • Managing a portfolio of customer accounts, identifying sales opportunities and increasing customer spend.
  • Building strong relationships with customers and key business contacts to understand their needs and provide the right solutions.
  • Proactively managing incoming enquiries and prospecting opportunities.
  • Recording, updating and maintaining customer information and interactions within our CRM system (Salesforce).
  • Working closely with the wider team and colleagues across the business to ensure the smooth onboarding of new customers and successful conversion from enquiry through to booking.
  • Re-engaging lapsed customers and identifying opportunities to win back business.

  • Previous outbound sales experience would be advantageous.
  • A proven track record of achieving targets and working towards KPIs.
  • A good understanding of gross profit and margins.
  • Excellent communication skills and a confident telephone manner.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and CRM systems. Salesforce experience would be an advantage.
  • Enthusiastic, driven and determined with a passion for achieving results.
  • A proactive approach to building relationships and identifying opportunities.
  • Someone who enjoys working in a supportive team environment and having fun while achieving success.
