About the role:
We have a great opportunity for an analytical individual to join our Clients & Markets team, supporting our Financial Institutions & Services (FIS) sector and Corporate, Finance and Tax (CFT) practice group as a Business Development Executive on a 12-month fixed-term contract
Based in Birmingham, you'll work closely with the Senior Business Development Manager and Senior BD Executive, supporting a range of business development, marketing and client growth activities. Occasional travel to London will be required.
This is a varied role, combining data management, administration and wider business development support, with opportunities to get involved in projects and initiatives across the team.
Within this role, your main responsibilities will be:
- Managing and updating deal databases and matter information.
- Maintaining InterAction/CRM records and contact data.
- Updating and maintaining business development materials, marketing collateral and client-facing content.
- Supporting client relationship mapping and account management activity.
- Updating and maintaining intranet content, internal communications and newsletters.
- Providing administrative support for business development initiatives, client growth programmes and new business opportunities.
About you:
We are looking for someone with experience in a law firm or professional services environment, ideally with exposure to data management, reporting and analysis.

You will have excellent communication, organisational and project management skills, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines. Comfortable building relationships at all levels, you will be a proactive team player with a positive, can-do approach and a willingness to support colleagues and wider team initiatives.
Strong IT skills are essential, including experience using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and AI tools such as Copilot. You will be confident working with data, analysing information, identifying trends and drawing out key insights. Experience of using technology, automation or AI to improve processes and data quality would be highly beneficial.
Most importantly, you will be curious, self-motivated and keen to learn, with the drive to develop new skills, embrace new ideas and contribute to the continued success of the team.
