About the Role
Our client is an established, award-winning, fast-growing Alternative Finance lender. The business specialises in flexible working capital solutions, supporting SMEs with fast, pragmatic funding tailored to their individual needs. They are now seeking a Business Development Executive in their North West team to expand their presence across the UK SME market. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a relationship-driven environment and enjoys generating new opportunities through brokers, advisers, and direct SME engagement.
Role Responsibilities
As a Business Development Executive you will initially support the existing sales team on their current deals and sales pipeline, shadowing new prospect and introducer meetings, helping with structuring deals and credit assessment and in time you will be expected to start networking to build up your own network of introducers to generate new business opportunities and develop into a Business Development Manager in future.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the existing sales team on new and existing deals, including gathering information, liaising with brokers and clients, preparing deal summaries, and helping move opportunities through the process.
- Assist with structuring proposals and ensuring deals are packaged accurately for underwriting.
- Work closely with underwriting and operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding and fast turnaround for clients.
- Represent the business at industry events, broker meetings, and networking forums to increase brand visibility.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, reporting activity, pipeline progress, and conversion performance.
- Contribute to regional growth targets and support wider business development strategy.

Skills & Experience Required
- Experience in some form of commercial lending - business banking, commercial finance, invoice finance, asset finance, working capital, corporate insolvency, or alternative lending.
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage with SMEs and professional introducers.
- Commercial mindset.
- Team player.
- Comfortable supporting senior BDMs on complex deals, with strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regionally.
