Business Development Executive

Copier Systems Limited is looking for a Business Development Executive to join our growing team in Barnsley.

About Copier Systems

Copier Systems is an established, forward-thinking managed print and office technology solutions company, with a strong reputation for helping businesses reduce costs, improve efficiency and make better use of technology.

We work with leading manufacturers including Canon, Epson and Develop, providing our customers with technology and solutions that go far beyond traditional print.

We're now looking for an ambitious salesperson to help us identify and close new business opportunities.

The Role

You'll be responsible for identifying prospective business customers, making initial contact, developing opportunities and writing business with decision-makers. Full support and training is provided based on your current industry and sales experience.

Your role will include:

  • Proactive telephone-based prospecting
  • Social media and LinkedIn prospecting
  • Business networking and relationship building
  • Email and digital lead generation
  • Researching and identifying new prospects
  • Arranging appointments with prospective customers
  • Understanding their current technology and print requirements
  • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Developing long-term customer relationships
  • Closing and writing your own business

This is a consultative, solutions-based sales role. You'll be helping businesses identify opportunities to work smarter, reduce costs and improve their office technology.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Minimum 2 years' B2B sales experience
  • Proven ability to generate new business
  • Confident telephone and face-to-face communicator
  • Commercially minded and target driven
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • IT literate
  • Organised, self-motivated and resilient
  • A genuine desire to succeed in sales

Managed Print / Office Technology experience is an advantage — but NOT essential.

If you're a great salesperson from another B2B sector, we'd still like to hear from you.

Full Training Provided

You don't need to be a managed print expert.

We'll provide comprehensive Copier Systems-specific industry training, together with manufacturer training from leading brands including Canon, Epson and Develop.

We'll give you the product, technical and industry knowledge you need to become a successful solutions-based salesperson.
