Stirling Dynamics is recruiting a Business Development Executive to join the team.

Stirling Dynamics is a leading engineering company delivering innovative solutions across Aerospace, Marine, Pilot Controls and Simulation markets. With annual revenues exceeding £20M and ambitious plans for future growth, we are expanding our Business Development team and seeking a motivated and commercially minded Business Development Executive to support our continued success.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Stirling Dynamics in a developmental Business Development role, providing exposure across all areas of our business. Working alongside experienced Business Development Managers, technical specialists, and senior leaders, you will play an important role in identifying opportunities, building customer relationships, supporting growth campaigns, and developing a broad understanding of our markets and technologies.

The role is designed for someone looking to build a long-term career in Business Development within a technology-led engineering organisation. You will gain experience across multiple sectors and customer groups, developing commercial, strategic, and customer engagement skills while contributing to the company's growth objectives.

This role is based from our Bristol office, with an expectation of working on-site at least two to three days per week alongside customer visits and business travel.

Due to the nature of our work, successful applicants must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC).

Responsibilities

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective customers
  • Identifying and qualifying new business opportunities through market research, customer engagement, and industry networking
  • Supporting strategic account management activities and customer growth plans
  • Assisting with business development campaigns, customer visits, exhibitions, conferences, and industry events
  • Working closely with technical and commercial teams to help develop customer solutions and proposals
  • Maintaining accurate sales pipeline and customer information within CRM systems
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to identify future opportunities
  • Representing Stirling Dynamics professionally as an ambassador for the business in the UK and internationally

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
