We're Looking for a Business Development Executive

We're looking for a Business Development Executive to join our friendly and collaborative Business Development and Marketing team in Bristol.

Is This Your Next Career Move?

This is a varied role where you'll combine market research, data analysis and relationship building to help drive business growth across the firm.

  • Developing target lists and helping shape business development plans.
  • Working with marketing to deliver campaigns that engage the right audiences.
  • Building relationships with prospective clients, intermediaries and key contacts.
  • Supporting pitches, proposals and wider business development initiatives.
  • Tracking activity, maintaining pipelines and reporting on progress.
  • Keeping up to date with market trends, competitor activity and networking opportunities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys combining commercial thinking with analytical insight and wants to make a real impact on the firm's growth.

Who Are We Hoping Will Apply?

We're looking for someone who's commercially minded, enjoys working with data and genuinely likes building relationships.

You might already be working in a Business Development Executive, Business Development Coordinator or Sales role, or perhaps you've gained similar experience within another professional services environment.

We're particularly interested in someone who can demonstrate:

  • Experience in business development, sales or client relationship management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into meaningful insights.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Confidence managing pipelines, reporting and business development activity.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to build strong working relationships across different teams.

Experience within legal or professional services would be an advantage, but it's certainly not essential. If you have the right commercial mindset, enjoy working with people and are excited by the opportunity to help grow a business, we'd love to hear from you.
