Summary

The Business Development Executive will support growth across the End User Sales business unit by developing inbound enquiries, prospecting allocated and lapsed customer data, and creating qualified opportunities for the Traditional and Enterprise Sales teams. The role will close smaller opportunities directly and hand over larger, more complex or long-term opportunities to the appropriate Account Manager.

You will be expected to understand customer requirements, position Techbuyer’s full product and services portfolio, maintain accurate records in the CRM, and deliver against a smaller monthly gross profit target, alongside agreed activity KPIs, with a key focus on passing over opportunities to the sales teams.

Essential Role Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence speaking with customers and asking effective questions.
  • Good organisation, time management, and attention to detail.
  • A proactive, resilient, and commercially minded approach.
  • Sound judgement and professionalism with customers and colleagues.
  • Accountability for personal activity, pipeline accuracy, and results.
  • A willingness to learn about IT hardware, services, and solutions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
