Business Development Executive
Location: Hybrid - 3 days per week in the office, based in either Ripponden or Manchester
Salary: £30,000 basic + uncapped commission
OTE: £60,000-£65,000 - genuinely achievable
Bonus: Guaranteed bonus for the first 3 months
We are currently recruiting for an ambitious Business Development Executive to join a high-performing sales team within a growing B2B organisation.
This is a 100% new business-focused role, ideal for someone who enjoys outbound sales, hitting targets, and having a high-volume of conversations with potential customers.
You will be responsible for contacting a mixture of existing and lapsed customers, identifying opportunities to introduce additional services, and generating new commercial opportunities for the business.
Your key objective will be to book qualified appointments for field-based Account/Sales Managers, who will then take the opportunity through the next stage of the sales process.
The Role
- Make a high volume of outbound B2B calls each day
- Contact current and lapsed customers to identify new opportunities
- Introduce and upsell services that customers are not currently using
- Generate interest and qualify potential opportunities
- Book high-quality appointments for field-based Account/Sales Managers
- Maintain accurate CRM records and follow up on opportunities
- Consistently work towards and exceed activity and appointment targets
- Build strong relationships with prospects and customers
- Work closely with the field sales team to maximise conversion

You will be speaking with organisations across a range of sectors, including:
- Care homes
- Hospitals
- Schools
- Hotels
- Other commercial organisations
About You
We're looking for someone who is confident, resilient, and commercially driven, with experience in a high-volume telephone sales environment.
Your background could include:
- B2B outbound telesales
- B2C outbound sales
- Business development
- Recruitment / recruitment sales
- Appointment setting
- Lead generation

B2B sales experience is preferred, but we're also open to strong B2C telesales or recruitment professionals who are comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls.
You'll need to be motivated by targets, comfortable picking up the phone, and confident speaking to customers at all levels.
