Business Development Executive – Technology Recruitment

UK Remote

Base plus excellent, uncapped commission, OTE expected £50-60,000pa

We’re a growing boutique technology recruitment agency looking for a driven Business Development Executive / New Business Consultant to help us build and expand our client base across the UK and US.

This is a 100% new-business-focused role. You’ll be responsible for identifying target companies, getting through to senior decision-makers, creating conversations and turning cold prospects into genuine recruitment opportunities.

The Role

You’ll own your market and have the freedom to build your own approach. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable picking up the phone, enjoys cold outreach and is motivated by winning new business.

You’ll:

  • Build and manage a target list of technology companies across the UK and US
  • Research and identify senior decision-makers, hiring managers and talent leaders
  • Generate new business through phone-first cold calling, LinkedIn and email
  • Have commercial conversations with prospects and uncover upcoming hiring requirements
  • Develop relationships with clients and turn initial conversations into long-term accounts
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and a clear, commercially focused pipeline
  • Work closely with our recruitment team to qualify opportunities and ensure a strong handover
  • Own your activity, targets and territory with a high degree of autonomy

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
