Location: Bury, Greater Manchester
Working Pattern: 5 days onsite Hours: 7:00am – 4:00pm Salary: £35,000 basic + uncapped commission OTE: £78,000+ Driving Licence: Full UK manual driving licence essential Travel: UK customer travel required
We are working with a rapidly growing technology business operating within the high-performance computing and digital infrastructure sector. The business is entering an exciting period of growth and is looking for a Business Development Executive to join its commercial team. This is an opportunity for an ambitious sales professional who wants to develop their career within a specialist technology environment.
You don't need to arrive as a GPU or high-performance computing expert. The business has a structured training and development programme designed to upskill commercially strong candidates and develop their knowledge of the technology and infrastructure market.
We're looking for someone who can demonstrate that they know how to prospect, create opportunities, build relationships, and win new business.
The Role
As a Business Development Executive, you will play a key role in driving new customer acquisition and developing commercial opportunities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and targeting new business opportunities
- Proactively prospecting potential customers
- Conducting outbound calls and other forms of sales outreach
- Building and managing your own sales pipeline
- Qualifying prospects and understanding their requirements
- Developing relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders
- Managing opportunities throughout the sales cycle
- Presenting solutions to prospective customers
- Negotiating and progressing opportunities through to contract
- Maintaining accurate CRM and pipeline information
- Working closely with technical and commercial teams
- Attending customer meetings and travelling throughout the UK when required
- Consistently working towards and exceeding sales targets

What We're Looking For
We're particularly interested in candidates who have:
- Previous experience in B2B sales, business development, or new business
- A proven ability to generate opportunities through outbound activity
- Experience with cold calling and prospecting
- A track record of working towards and achieving sales targets
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Commercial awareness and a genuine desire to develop within sales
- A proactive, resilient, and determined approach
- The ability to learn and understand technical products and solutions
- A strong work ethic and willingness to be coached
- The ambition to progress within a growing technology business
Experience within technology, IT, software, hardware, telecoms, infrastructure, cloud, managed services, or a similar B2B environment would be advantageous but is not essential. The business is willing to train the right person who demonstrates strong sales fundamentals and the right attitude.

The Package
- £35,000 basic salary
