Citrus Recruit are excited to be working with a well-known brand to recruit for an experienced Business Development Executive.

You will be doing a mixture of following up on warm leads and finding your own new business.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in the energy sector, looking for progression in an Account Manager or Business Development Manager role.

It’s a hybrid role, where you must be able to travel into the office near to Kenilworth ideally 2-3 days per week.

Responsibilities & day to day duties

As a Business Development Executive you will be responsible for:

  • Generate new business opportunities across a broad mix of industries to hit quarterly revenue targets.
  • Expand and strengthen existing client relationships through strategic service growth.
  • Manage a balanced pipeline of inbound leads and self-generated prospects.
  • Carry out consistent outbound outreach to drive new conversations.
  • Lead consultative discussions to identify needs and recommend suitable solutions.
  • Produce tailored proposals, maintain accurate CRM data and meet revenue targets.

Skills & experience required

  • Proven background in B2B sales with experience in both new business and consultative selling.
  • Experience within the energy sector.
  • Confident generating opportunities through proactive outbound outreach.
  • Skilled at building quick rapport and nurturing long-term client relationships.
  • Comfortable selling service-led or technical solutions in a consultative manner.
  • Strong commercial judgement with solid negotiation skills.
  • Experienced in managing pipelines and activity within a CRM.

Benefits

  • Salary of up to £35,000
  • Circa £10,000 bonus
  • Hybrid opportunity – 2 days per week in the office.
  • 37 hours per week, 08.45 – 17.15 Monday to Thursday. 08.45 – 16.15 Friday.
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
  • Life Insurance of 3x salary.
  • Pension - 5% Employer contribution (after probation) 3% during probation. 5% Employee contribution.

  • Clear progression to a Business Development Manager role.
