Business Development Executive (Water Hygiene)

Location: Thornbury
Salary: £29,000 per annum, + commission
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm (37.5 hours per week)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
About The Role
Resolve Recruitment Services are delighted to be working with an established and growing specialist within the water hygiene sector, who are looking to recruit an ambitious and driven Business Development Executive to join their Sales Team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced B2B sales professional who enjoys building strong customer relationships, generating new business and developing specialist industry knowledge.
Working closely with the Head of Sales, you will play a key role in supporting the company’s continued growth. You will act as a key point of contact for both new and existing customers, ensuring enquiries are handled professionally and efficiently while helping to convert opportunities into long-term business.
The successful candidate will also receive ongoing technical and personal development, giving you the opportunity to become a specialist in legionella control and water hygiene compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, issue and proactively follow up on customer quotations.
- Manage sales processes accurately and efficiently from enquiry through to conversion.
- Generate new business opportunities and contribute towards sales growth.
- Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Handle new and existing customer enquiries professionally.
- Support contract renewals and identify opportunities for additional business.
- Learn and apply the fundamentals of legionella control and water hygiene compliance.
- Communicate technical information clearly and confidently to customers.
- Maintain accurate sales administration and CRM records.
- Balance day-to-day sales administration with proactive business development activity.

About You
We are looking for a confident and commercially focused individual who is motivated by achieving results and developing long-term customer relationships.
You Will Ideally Be

- Comfortable speaking with customers and prospects over the telephone.
- A natural relationship builder with excellent communication skills.
- Solution-focused with a disciplined and organised approach.
- Proactive and confident in identifying and pursuing sales opportunities.

- Curious and enthusiastic about learning a new industry.
- Keen to develop specialist knowledge within water hygiene and legionella control.

Essential Skills & Experience

- Minimum 2 years’ B2B sales experience.
- Proven track record of generating and converting new business.
- Excellent administration and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- High-level IT skills, particularly across Microsoft Office 365.
- Post-16 qualification essential.
- Degree desirable, but not essential.
What’s On Offer?
- Competitive salary of £27,450–£29,000, depending on skills and experience.
- OTE of approximately £33,000 per annum.
- Company profit-related bonus scheme.
- 28 days’ annual leave, including bank holidays, increasing with service.
- Holiday buyback scheme.
- Monday to Friday working hours, 8:30am–5:00pm.
- Full-time, permanent position.
