Business Developer – Insurance Team

Job Purpose
This results-driven and motivating role as a Business Developer in our Insurance team focuses on identifying cross-sell opportunities and developing new business to drive revenue growth. Your primary responsibility is to build our sales pipeline through strategic outreach and market research, working closely with our Insurance Sales teams.
You will be based in our Sheffield office, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm, making outbound calls to both new and existing customers to qualify them as sales leads.
Responsibilities
- Make outbound calls to potential customers to connect them with our sales teams or schedule appointments.
- Achieve and troubleshoot daily, weekly, and monthly appointment and pipeline targets.
- Conduct timely follow-ups with potential customers.
- Maintain a positive attitude and build a strong rapport with customers in all interactions.
- Enrich the data pipeline for better lead qualification.
- Work closely with Insurance Sales teams to ensure high-quality sales leads.

Requirements & Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with:
- Proven experience in lead generation, telemarketing, sales, or business development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and lead generation tools.
- An organized, self-motivated, and goal-oriented mindset.
- A basic understanding of marketing principles and sales funnels.
- The ability to handle rejection while maintaining a positive and professional demeanour.

- Experience in outbound sales or call centre environments.
