Business Development Executive

If you see a room full of strangers as a room full of opportunities, we'd love to hear from you.

The Company

Docklands Restaurants & Bars is a well-established, independently run hospitality business consisting of two vibrant venues, the Fox Excel and the Fox Connaught, both located close to ExCeL London. Our clientele is an eclectic mix of exhibitors, exhibition visitors, conference organisers, corporate networkers as well as locally based professionals and families, all seeking memorable experiences.

The Opportunity

The Business Development Executive role is a new full-time (40 hours) position based onsite in London E16. This is a proactive sales role focused on generating new business, building relationships, and driving revenue growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with exhibitors, exhibition visitors, agencies, local business, and corporate clients across the year, working to monthly KPIs and quarterly revenue targets within the established sales team.

Day-to-day tasks include prospecting and outreach, preparing proposals, coordinating client site visits, local networking, and establishing strong relationships with potential new clients. The Business Development Executive collaborates closely with the marketing, operations, and events teams. The role also involves market research, tracking sales performance, and providing input on sales strategies and promotional initiatives.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
