About Atomik AM
We're Atomik AM. We're reshaping the world of advanced manufacturing and changing the way the world thinks about materials.
Ours is a new model for manufacturing businesses. Materials-led innovation, cutting-edge chemistry and solutions-based engineering delivering responsible manufacturing and sustainable choices.
It's a conscious commitment to reducing cost, waste and adverse social impact while raising manufacturing performance.
Why This Role Exists
We're on a growth path, and are building our commercial engine across a wide spread of technical sectors including aerospace, automotive, energy, motorsport, batteries, technical ceramics, heat exchangers, and more.
We need someone to build and run the pipeline that feeds that engine: mapping the market, opening conversations, establishing credibility and creating opportunity. You’ll build the deal pipeline that the CEO will execute against.
What We're Looking For
We're professional non-conformists, advocates of responsible manufacturing, sustainability and solutions-first thinking.
You're organised, persistent and genuinely curious about the businesses you're reaching out to. We don't need you to be the finished technical article on day one, but you'll demonstrate skills in building sales pipelines, in understanding opportunity spaces and will be keen to learn enough about what we do that your outreach never feels generic.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You take real ownership of your pipeline and your numbers.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Build and maintain our CRM every account, contact and opportunity tracked and current.
- Map the market across our target sectors (aerospace, automotive, energy, motorsport, batteries, technical ceramics, heat exchangers, etc) to build a pipeline of the right companies to approach.
- Run outbound outreach calls, email, LinkedIn, growth strategies and more, to open conversations and generate interest.
- Manage follow-up cadences and keep opportunities moving through the pipeline.
- Attend conferences and industry events on behalf of the business.
- Book qualified appointments for the CEO to attend, close and scope.
- Feed market intelligence back into the business on what's landing, what isn't, and why.
What You'll Bring
- Experience in a BDR, SDR or similar outbound B2B business development role, ideally in engineering, manufacturing or related fields.
- Comfort being measured on the volume and quality of your outreach, not just closed revenue.
- You're proud of your organisation and process instincts. Owning and managing the CRM will be a source of pride for you.
- Comfortable enough, even when you’re uncomfortable. You’re a listener, and don’t mind conversations where you won’t have all the answers because you’ll be curious enough to get them. You’re able to hold a “credible enough” conversation to book the right meeting.
- Self-aware, you have a “sponge mindset”. You’re willing to listen and learn the technical side of what we do rather than working from a generic script.
- Bonus: interest or background in engineering, manufacturing or advanced materials.
- Bonus: experience in a start-up environment.
