Company Description
TruckEast is an established Scania dealer and one of the UK’s largest commercial vehicle workshop operators. Representing the Scania brand, the company delivers premium quality new and used vehicles and sets high standards in both sales and aftersales performance. Operating from 13 dealer points across the eastern counties of England, TruckEast offers servicing, repairs, and maintenance for HGVs, passenger vehicles, vans, and agricultural and industrial vehicles.
Salary: from £37,000 per year, dependant upon experience
Working hours: Monday to Friday 8:30-5:30, with flexibility for trade and Company events

Role Description
The Business Development Executive is responsible for the sale and marketing of TruckEast’s range of products and services at customer level. With a focus on driving growth in our contract portfolio they will support key branches with both existing and new customers.
This is a full-time, Business Development Executive role covering our Peterborough, Kings Lynn, Norwich and Ely branches.
Day-to-day activities include:
- Engaging with prospective and existing customers
- Preparing proposals and quotations
- Conducting follow-up communications
- Maintaining accurate records within the CRM system
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless handover of accounts
- Monitoring market trends and competitor activity
- Contributing to sales campaigns and promotional activities
The Business Development Executive is expected to meet agreed targets while providing professional, customer-focused service aligned with TruckEast’s brand standards.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Business and Account Management, including managing customer relationships and supporting long-term commercial growth.

Candidates should possess strong communication skills, with the ability to:
- Present solutions clearly
- Negotiate effectively
- Build rapport with diverse stakeholders
Experience in commercial vehicle, automotive, or related B2B sectors is beneficial, along with familiarity with sales pipelines and CRM tools.
A results-oriented mindset, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are important.
- A valid UK driving licence and willingness to visit customers and other TruckEast locations.
- Relevant education or training in sales, business, or a related field is advantageous.
