Position

We're looking for an ambitious Business Development Executive to join our growing commercial team.

Your role will be to identify prospective customers, build relationships with decision-makers and create qualified opportunities for Mintivo. Initially, you'll focus on opening doors and booking meetings, with the opportunity to take greater ownership of the sales cycle as you develop.

This is not a high-volume call centre role. Success comes from building genuine relationships and creating opportunities that become long-term customer partnerships.

Salary range £28,000 - £32,000 basic salary
Once established, realistic earnings are expected to be £56,000 - £64,000+ OTE

This role offers a genuine career path within a growing technology business:

  • Business Development Executive → Senior Business Development Executive → Business Development Manager

As you develop, you'll take increasing ownership of opportunities and the wider sales process.

Main Duties

  • Identify organisations that fit Mintivo's ideal customer profile
  • Research target accounts and key decision-makers
  • Generate opportunities through calls, email, LinkedIn, networking and partner relationships
  • Book high-quality introductory meetings
  • Build and nurture relationships with prospective customers
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline activity
  • Work closely with commercial and technical teams to progress opportunities
  • Take ownership of personal activity and performance targets

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a sales, business development, recruitment or customer-facing role
  • Confident communicator
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Resilient and self-motivated
  • Comfortable starting conversations with new people
  • Able to build relationships and credibility with decision-makers
  • Ambitious and eager to develop a career in technology sales
  • Technology or MSP experience would be beneficial but is not essential

Qualifications

No formal qualifications are required but it is important that you have some relevant technical skills and/or experience.

Notes

37.5 hours a week Mon-Fri. Due to the nature of the job some occasional work at weekends and outside of normal hours may be required.

Travel to customer sites may be required so the ability to travel as and when required needs to be considered.

This role requires a DBS and BPSS security checks.
