Business Development Executive

£35,000 + commission | Remote | Full-time – Applications by 30th September 2026 (No agencies)

Good Money Guide is looking for a commercially driven Business Development Executive to take ownership of our sales pipeline and help grow revenue across our financial-services partnerships, awards, and events.

This is a hands-on sales role. You will manage opportunities from initial contact through to ongoing commercial management: responding to incoming enquiries, identifying and approaching new prospects, pitching our commercial packages, negotiating agreements, closing deals and ensuring invoices are paid.

You will sell primarily to financial-services brands including investment platforms, trading brokers, wealth managers, asset managers, banks, fintechs and international money-transfer companies.

Alongside our core annual partnerships, you will help sell sponsorships and commercial opportunities around the Good Money Guide Awards, events, podcasts and other projects.

About Good Money Guide

Good Money Guide is an independent financial comparison and reviews platform helping consumers make better decisions about their money.

We cover investing, trading, wealth management, banking, savings and international money transfers, combining expert reviews, customer ratings, comparison tools and financial content.

We work commercially with many of the UK’s leading financial brands and also run the annual Good Money Guide Awards, alongside industry events, interviews and podcasts.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will take responsibility for the full sales process, including:

  • Responding quickly to incoming commercial enquiries and converting them into paying customers.
  • Proactively identifying and approaching financial-services brands through email, LinkedIn and cold calling.
  • Building and maintaining a strong pipeline of prospective customers.
  • Selling Good Money Guide’s annual commercial packages, including company profiles, customer reviews, expert ratings, comparison-table inclusion and brand coverage.
  • Selling sponsorship and commercial packages for the Good Money Guide Awards and events.
  • Identifying additional commercial opportunities across podcasts, interviews, research, content and other GMG projects.
  • Pitching confidently to marketing directors, CMOs, founders, CEOs and other senior decision-makers.
  • Preparing proposals and following up consistently until a decision is reached.
  • Negotiating commercial terms and closing new business.
  • Onboarding new clients and ensuring everything is delivered correctly.
  • Maintaining relationships with existing customers and identifying renewal and upselling opportunities.
  • Keeping the CRM accurate and ensuring every opportunity has a clear next action.
  • Raising and following up invoices and ensuring customers pay on time.
  • Producing straightforward pipeline, sales and revenue forecasts.
  • Representing Good Money Guide at relevant financial-services events, conferences and networking opportunities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
