Role Description
The Business Development Executive will play a key role in expanding Circadian Global Forwarding’s overseas customer base and strengthening relationships with existing clients. This full-time, on-site position is based in Newcastle Upon Tyne and involves identifying new business opportunities, generating qualified leads, and promoting the company’s logistics services across target markets.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

- Conducting market research
- Engaging prospects through calls, emails, and in-person meetings
- Preparing proposals and quotations
- Supporting contract negotiations
- Managing and growing assigned accounts
- Monitoring customer satisfaction
- Coordinating with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth delivery of solutions
The Business Development Executive will:
- Report on sales activities
- Maintain accurate CRM records
- Contribute to revenue growth by meeting or exceeding agreed performance targets
Qualifications
- Strong New Business Development and Lead Generation skills, with the ability to identify, qualify, and convert opportunities.
- Solid understanding of Business and commercial principles, including sales pipeline management and revenue growth.
- Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present logistics solutions clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Proven Account Management experience, including building long-term client relationships and ensuring high service standards.
- Experience in transportation, freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain services is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, MS Office, and basic data analysis for sales reporting and forecasting.
- Ability to work proactively, organize workload effectively, and meet targets in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant qualification in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
