Business Development Executive
ACEPP UK is a specialist engineering consultancy supporting the delivery of complex infrastructure projects across the nuclear, defence, energy, construction and industrial sectors. As part of the Heverett Group, we provide highly skilled engineering and project delivery professionals to some of the UK's most significant and technically demanding programmes. Our expertise spans construction management, project controls, commissioning, maintenance engineering and project management services.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Executive to help expand our client base and secure new opportunities across the infrastructure, engineering and construction sectors.
The Opportunity
As a Business Development Executive, you will play a key role in driving the growth of ACEPP UK by identifying, developing and securing new business opportunities. You will be responsible for building relationships with hiring managers, project leaders, procurement teams and decision-makers across major infrastructure projects and engineering organisations.
Working closely with our Talent Acquisition team, you will ensure a clear understanding of client requirements, enabling us to deliver exceptional talent solutions and maintain long-term client partnerships.
Beyond winning new business, you will also play a key role in managing consultant relationships once they are deployed on client projects. Through regular site visits, performance reviews and ongoing engagement, you will ensure our consultants feel supported, remain motivated and continue to deliver to the high standards expected by both our clients and ACEPP UK.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities and contributing directly to the growth of a specialist engineering business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
