Shrewsbury, office based | £25,000 to £35,000 plus commission and annual bonus
About Ui-Ai
Ui-Ai is a British owned technology company based in Shropshire, with offices in Shrewsbury, Estepona, Cork, Marlow, and Manchester. Our board and senior team bring decades of experience across a wide range of industries, and the business is ISO 27001 and ISO 42001 accredited.
Our principal product is Amica, a 3D digital human built to help organisations deliver world-class customer service while significantly increasing profitability. Amica holds natural conversations with customers around the clock, on the web, over the telephone, and face to face. She answers questions from an organisation's own knowledge, guides customers through their buying journey, captures and qualifies leads, takes orders, connects to CRM and business systems, and reports back on what customers are actually asking for.
Amica is already working across retail, education, charities, hospitality, and automotive, and interest is growing quickly.
We are scaling our commercial operation, and this role sits at the front of it. The team is small and being built deliberately, so you will work directly with the Chief Revenue Officer and have real influence over how we approach our markets rather than inheriting someone else's process.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

This is a proactive outbound new business role. You will research target organisations, identify the right decision makers, get through to them by phone, email, and LinkedIn, and qualify the opportunity before booking a meeting.
You will not be starting from a blank sheet. We have built a researched target account database across our markets, with organisations prioritised and decision makers already identified. Your job is to turn that into conversations.
It is a phone-first role, and you will be trusted to run your own activity. There is no long ramp-up period.
What you will be doing
- Generating new business through proactive outbound calling, email, and LinkedIn
- Researching target organisations and identifying the relevant decision makers
- Introducing Ui-Ai and Amica clearly and credibly to senior stakeholders
- Qualifying opportunities properly and booking meetings
- Following up marketing campaigns, events, and inbound enquiries
- Keeping your activity and pipeline accurate in the CRM
- Working to agreed activity and revenue targets
What we are looking for
Essential
- Genuine confidence on the telephone with senior decision makers, including cold calls
- The ability to work autonomously, manage your own diary, and hit the ground running
- Discipline with follow-up and with keeping a CRM accurate
- Clear written English for email and LinkedIn outreach
- Resilience. Most of the calls you make will not turn into anything
- The right to work in the UK

Desirable
- A track record of outbound lead generation, inside sales, or business development
- Experience selling software, SaaS, AI, or another technology product
- Experience selling into any of our markets: retail, education, charities, hospitality, or automotive
Reward
- Basic salary of £25,000 to £35,000, depending on experience
- Commission on the business you generate
- An annual bonus, paid on achievement of your agreed target
- Commission is payable on orders you originate even where the wider sales team runs and closes the sales process
- Benefits available, discussed at interview
Progression
This is predominantly an office-based role, but it is not where it ends. For the right person, the path from here runs to making your own appointments, visiting clients, and closing the sale yourself, with the earnings that come with it.
If that is already what you do, we would still like to hear from you.
Working arrangements
Office based in Shrewsbury, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with occasional overnight travel for events and customer visits.
