Are you a confident B2B sales person, comfortable working in a professional setting who would enjoy providing a value added consultative service? Do you enjoy being out and about, networking and making things happen?

Our client is a long-established and highly regarded business membership organisation that supports companies across Hertfordshire through networking events, professional development, business support services and regional advocacy. As part of a nationally recognised network, they play a vital role in helping local businesses connect, grow and succeed.

This is far more than a traditional sales role. You'll become a highly connected figure within the local business community, working directly with business owners, senior leaders and decision-makers. The successful candidate will help organisations unlock opportunities through membership, sponsorship and access to a thriving professional network.

Why You’ll Love This Role

As Commercial Sales Executive, you will be responsible for generating new membership revenue, securing sponsorship opportunities and developing long-term relationships with businesses throughout Hertfordshire.

This is a target-driven, commercial role designed for a skilled relationship-builder. You won't be tied to a script. Instead, you'll be out in the business community uncovering opportunities, identifying business needs and matching organisations with solutions that genuinely support their growth. You will have the freedom to work in your own style while being backed by a respected brand, strong marketing collateral and an established business network.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
