Toucanberry Tech builds data infrastructure and AI solutions for reinsurers. We're a boutique consultancy working across Bermuda, Europe, London, and the US. We're vendor-agnostic, everything we build runs on the client's own infrastructure, and the client owns it outright.
The Role:
You'll open conversations with senior people at reinsurers, find out what's difficult inside their business, and turn that into meetings.
- We'll give you the target list.
- You'll identify who holds the problem, pick up the phone, and find out how they work today.
- Where there's something we can help with, you'll follow up with the relevant evidence and get a meeting in the diary with the right people.
Our market is a defined set of firms and we expect to still be talking to them in five years, so this isn't a volume seat. We'd rather you made 15 good calls than 60 forgettable ones.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
- Research companies on the target list and identify the right people using LinkedIn, Apollo, and open sources.
- Make outbound calls to senior decision-makers, and hold the conversation once they answer.
- Understand and record what's difficult inside each firm.
- Write follow-up emails that reference relevant work and earn a reply.
- Book and confirm meetings, and hand over a clear picture of what the prospect said.
- Keep HubSpot accurate as you go.
What we are looking for:
- Reinsurance experience isn't required. We'll teach you the market and we've built the material to do it properly.
- You're willing to call senior people and comfortable once they pick up.
- You can take in a technical solution and explain it simply, at speed.
- You understand what data and AI are doing to how businesses operate.
- You write and speak well. This is the thing we care about most and the hardest to teach.
- You're curious about how businesses work, and you research before you dial.
- You keep going. Most of the calls don't land and that has to not bother you much.
- You're organised and you record things without being asked.
