Concept Projects Group provides engineering, project management, mechanical installation, and construction solutions to clients across the Food & Beverage, FMCG, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, and Manufacturing sectors.
We are looking for a proactive Business Development Executive
We are looking for a proactive Business Development Executive to help us generate new opportunities, build relationships with clients, and support continued growth across our key sectors.
This is a sales and business development-focused role. The successful candidate will be confident approaching new clients, developing a pipeline, arranging meetings, and building relationships with key decision-makers. The role will also involve supporting proposals, quotations, and tender submissions as part of the wider sales process.
This would suit someone who enjoys getting in front of clients, identifying opportunities, and helping turn conversations into new projects.
Responsibilities
- Identifying and approaching prospective clients across our target sectors
- Generating new business opportunities through networking, referrals, LinkedIn, cold calling, and industry events
- Developing and maintaining a strong sales pipeline
- Arranging and attending meetings with potential clients
- Building relationships with key contacts including Engineering Managers, Operations Managers, Site Managers, and Directors
- Understanding client requirements and identifying where CPG may be able to support
- Promoting CPG’s services through client meetings and presentations
- Maintaining accurate records of sales activity, opportunities, and forecasts
- Supporting account development activity to encourage repeat business
- Attending exhibitions, conferences, and networking events representing the CPG brand
- Identifying tender opportunities through procurement platforms and client relationships
- Supporting the bid process from initial enquiry through to submission
- Writing, editing, and coordinating proposals, quotations, and tender responses
- Gathering technical and commercial information from internal teams

Skills and experience required
- Previous experience in a Sales or Business Development role
- Experience generating new business opportunities
- Confidence with proactive outreach, including calls, LinkedIn, and networking
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to support proposals, quotations, or tenders
- Commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines at the same time
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach
- Strong IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
- Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable
- Experience within engineering, manufacturing, construction, or technical services
- Experience selling into FMCG, Food Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, or Industrial sectors
- Experience submitting bids or tenders through procurement portals
- Experience using CRM systems
- Understanding of project delivery or engineering services

- £35,000 per year plus commission
- Full-time contract
